The 7th Semi-Annual Finals Pancake Supper was held Tuesday, December 8, at Taos Restaurant in Corbett Center Student Union on the Main Campus of New Mexico State University. NMSU staff, faculty and administrators prepared pancakes and omelets, while students enjoyed free popcorn, Coca-Cola merchandise, and sung out to Rock Band. Several students walked away with free prizes including iPods & gift cards from Wells Fargo & McAlisters, and Allen Theatres movie tickets.

I know Lowes sells their own gift cards. but do they also Sell Gift Cards to other stores like walmart, restaurants, etc.. I have a lowes card I would like to purchase a walmart card with instead if they sell them..there.

I work at Lowe’s, at the customer service desk. At my store we don’t sell any other stores gift cards besides our own. Sorry. My Lowe’s is in AZ, I don’t think that makes a difference though. Hope this helps.

I recall vaguely that some chain of convenience stores sells gift cards for restaurants and stores other than itself. Does anyone know anything about this? I want to buy a Target gift card for a friend in another state, but I don’t live near a Target, and would have to either spend a few hours on public transportation or rent a car to get to one.

Well, we don’t know where you are so it would be hard to help. Are you on the east coast? I work in a grocery store here and we have them along with lots of other stores gift cards. Also, Try ordering one from the target website.

There used to be a hand full of restaurants that used to do things like buy a gift card get one free etc…. Anyone have a list of these restaurants?

Applebees has a $5 gift-card for free when you buy a $25 gift-card, and Red Hot & Blue has a free CD when you buy a $25 gift certificate…

I am considering Swiss Chalet Restaurant Gift Cards. Swiss Chalet is known here in Canada for their chicken meals. I am thinking $10 card to each of my tenants. Is $10 reasonable? They definitely don’t expect a gift from me. $10 is not much but is it still better and nicer than nothing? (If not, I prefer not to send anything as I don’t want to spend more than $10 per person) THANKS.

Well, it depends, is the place a rather expensive place? By that I mean if they are gonna hve to spend 100.00 to eat there, then maybe not a good idea. Maybe try a cheaper restaurant.

I have a friend, who has a birthday coming up. Her and her husband really like dining out, and I wanted to send the two of them out to really nice restaurant in San Francisco. The thing is I’m obviously not going to be going out with them and I’d like to know, are their any expensive restaurants that let you pay them and give you like a gift card of sorts? Just curious, but something is telling me no. Thanks.

Many restaurants have some type of gift certificate. I have one on my refrigerator now for Restaurant Gary Danko. Some say that is the best restaurant in San Francisco. Check out their website below. Dinner runs from $66 for a three-course to $98 for a five-course excluding beverages, gratuity and tax.

Keep in mind though, that price, while important, should never be the primary factor when choosing a restaurant. I think that the type of food and atmosphere are more critical than price. You wouldn’t want to choose a steakhouse for a vegetarian nor a seafood place for someone with allergies.

The other thing to consider is that it may be difficult to get reservations if the birthday is coming up soon.
