I need to reserve hotel rooms for a few nights, but I don’t have a credit card (I’m 21). Would I be able to have a friend reserve the rooms and then use a Visa gift card or give them cash as collateral once I check in? Do I absolutely have to have a card in the same name as the person who made the reservations?

This is a good question! You will be able to make a reservation under another persons name and give the Hotel a cc number to reserve it. When you get to the hotel desk, all you have to do is give them your cc or another way of paying. You don’t have to pay right then and there, some hotels will allow you to pay after. Remember there might be additional fees that go along with that.

This company I work for sometimes is looking for models. The hold these events at hotels and utilize their conference rooms for the event. The usually advertise months in advance and have a great turn out.

One person at a recent even left a comment card mentioning we should have a free gift. I said we should offer a free microwave. My boss said that is lame.

I was contacted by Chef World Inc. and described a prize package I’ve won through an online form. Has anyone else heard of this or received the prize? It is short notice and about a 2 hour drive to claim the prize and I don’t want to waste my time. Apparently, they will demonstrate their products and give a questionairre for their advertising purposes while I claim my prize of a grocery gift card, 3 days/2 nights hotel stay. It would be great if anyone else has been a "winner" and could tell me their experience with this.

Yes it is ture! Its a 90 minute presentation. and you get a free trip to either dominican republic, mexico, or the bahamas! or you can pick a local trip. There products are outta this world!

Nintendo is currently allowing owners of Pokemon Platinum to download the Member’s Card via Nintendo WFC. This event is taking place from August 3rd to September 13th, 2009. This event is available to those living in America or Europe. In order to download the Member’s Card, you will also need to have gotten Mystery Gift enabled in your game, and you must also have obtained the National Pokédex.

The Member’s Card allows players to capture Darkrai in-game, as opposed to the Toys R’ Us event that was held for Diamond/Pearl Players in 2008. The Member’s Card grants access to the hotel in Canalave City, a location previously unaccessible. Players will have the chance to soft-reset for Darkrai and add its information to their Pokédex.

Ideally, Darkrai should be one of the easier legendaries to battle and hopefully catch. Focus on wittling down its HP into 10% or less and throw Ultra Balls (or Dusk Ball if its night) to catch it. Once captured, Darkrai makes an idea user of Nasty Plot, making it one of the most feared special sweepers in the Uber tier when combined with Dark Void.

Can I book a hotel room over the phone or over the internet with a visa gift card? I have a lot of the visa gift cards (enough to cover the hotel costs), and I want to stay at the certain hotel for about 3 weeks to a month. But I’m 15 without a parent joining me by the way. Will they let me?
can i just forget about the reservation and pay up front when i get there with the gift cards or with cash? and I do have an ID btw, but as I said i’m only 15.

You have to be an adult to stay at hotels as they will require id to check in.
